Over decades together, the depletion of ozone layer and its preservation had been the high priority of environmentalists and developed nations and campaigns about educating the masses of the importance of reducing carbon emissions thereby helping the preservation of the ozone layer. Now, there are a lot more issues along with this that has been worrying the environmentalists, one of this being depletion of natural resources and increase in CO2 emissions, pollution, wastage of resources, and so on. With the expected world’s population to explode to around 9 billion by 2050, it has become a great concern that people will only have 25% of the resources that were available in 1950. Already, some of the world’s natural resources have been depleted and with this growing population, it could lead to a major crisis of the natural resources.
It is high time we start saving clean air, fuel sources, water and soil for the future generations along with saving money and assets for them. How many of us agree with this thought? So why throw away things that could be recycled? To read these facts on recycling, it only takes a few seconds and to actually put it in practice would only take a few minutes in a day.
Climate change is in the news. It seems like everyone’s “going green.” We’re glad you want to take action, too. Luckily, many of the steps we can take to stop climate change can make our lives better. Our grandchildren-and their children-will thank us for living more sustainably. Let’s start now.
Government and other officials should spring forward in their efforts to look for ways to expand recycling and bring awareness amongst the masses on waste reduction and its harmful effects. It would be best to encourage and motivate manufacturers and companies to be environmentally compliant and energy efficient.
So what’s the wait for. There are a lot of things that we as a common man can bring changes and reforms. Let’s GO GREEN, let’s get hand in hand, strive to reduce emissions and wastage, encourage recycling and pave way for pure and clean surroundings for our future generations.
we have to save earth and go green. There are various factors that affect the earth atmoshpere and making it polluted. one of them is electronics.
Keep electronics out of the trash.
* Keep your cell phones, computers, and other electronics as long as possible.
* Donate or recycle them responsibly when the time comes. E-waste contains mercury and other toxics and is a growing environmental problem.
* Recycle your cell phone.
* government to set up an electronics recycling and hazardous waste collection event.
Try to recycle items that could be recycled so in order to save energy, water and natural resources. Things like batteries and electronic items when thrown away emit dangerous chemicals that leak through the landfill and pollute the groundwater, and also contaminate the soil which is important for our crops which in turn causes health risks to humans.
So what’s the wait for. There are a lot of things that we as a common man can bring changes and reforms. Let’s GO GREEN, let’s get hand in hand, strive to reduce emissions and wastage, encourage recycling and pave way for pure and clean surroundings for our future generations.
Go Green, Get Green, we pay to dollar for your used Gadgets, we provide an easy, fast, and safe way for you to sell electronics and recycle electronics. When you used cell phones and electronics, digital camera sell, cell phone sell, sell video game, mp3 players, laptops, or other gadgets to us, you’ll earn cash and help save the environment.

Sony Cell Phones have unveiled one of its newest phones, the Hazel. The Hazel is not your average phone. While it incorporates the many new technologies that are expected in new phones today it also brings a new aspect to the table. The name Hazel may help guide you in the right direction if you are not able to guess. The Hazel, by Sony Cell Phones, is an environmentally friendly mobile phone.
So what constitutes an environmentally safe or friendly cell phone? The lines can blur here, however it seems that Sony Cell Phones has done a good job of not just placing a label on it with giving it the proper “green” features. These features make it part of the Sony-Ericsson Green Heart Program, help to reduce CO2 emissions, among other environmentally conscious specifications. These include being made of recycled plastic materials, an e-manual embedded into the phone, a condensed user guide, it is free of hazardous chemicals, a green calculator, the walk mate eco application, a charger with low power consumption, minimal packaging and waterborne paint. That is seemingly a very honest effort to make the phone environmentally friendly.
But, this is not simply a phone for tree huggers and the like, rather it has many other excellent, standard phone features. These include a quality voice feature through noise shield, clear voice and intelligent voice adaptation, Google Maps and Search, GPS, easy access to social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace and Twitter as well as free weather forecasts from Accuweather, A 5 megapixel camera and even face detection features. It offers 10 hours of talk time and 430 hours of standby time.
So perhaps it is time to throw out some of our ideas about “going green” and general liberal ideals. We can be honest when saying that this phone will not be saving the world. However, if it does cut down on an individual’s carbon foot print, what’s not to like about that. It offers longer talk time than many cell phones, has many similar or better features than most phones and it’s not sucking everything it can out of this world. So why not get one?
It seems inevitable that phones and electronics in general, will become more and more conscious of the environment. This transition may be made either to keep their collective conscious clear, maybe to avoid being pegged as having a large carbon footprint or maybe to appeal to the large liberal “green” movement. This would positively impact us all, regardless of the true intentions behind the change.

Sony Ericsson Cell Phones is set to release their newest phone and really a first of its kind. It is a smart phone with a green conscious. The phone is in line with Sony cell phones new push towards more environmentally safe products while also being a smart phone that will help the company reestablish itself as a force in the mobile device field which is becoming increasingly more simply a field of smartphones and little else.
The Sony Cell Phone known as the Aspen is a smartphone but which is made from recycled plastics, waterborne paints and comes in a smaller package to decrease CO2 emissions during the transportation process. It also has a an electronic manual to cut down on, no pun intended, on paper costs as well as optimized light sensor display which will allow the phone to consume less energy while in use. But these are just the green aspects, it also contains a rich feature set as anyone might expect from a smart phone in this day and age.
The Aspen Cell Phone runs on the new Windows Mobile 6.5.3 platform which will give users the ability to open and work on Microsoft Office files at their leisure. Users are always only a click away from browsing the internet, checking on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and other social networking sites. Additionally the Aspen offers a 2.4 inch touch screen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth capabilities, Wi-Fi and host of excellent features.
The phone is part of the Sony Ericsson “GreenHeart” initiative in which they said they would be actively exploring and implementing green technologies whenever possible. This however goes beyond just being a green cell phone, the Aspen is a green smartphone, something that is a total rarity today. It is this innovativeness and initiative that will help give Sony Ericsson the necessary push which they need to come out a winner in the smart phone industry, an industry that is becoming increasingly cutting edge and is always highly competitive.
So while many companies focus on one or the other (green or smart phone) Sony Ericsson Cell Phones has taken it upon them to combine the two without jeopardizing the standout qualities of either. It is a truly remarkable thing and it is great to see the industry becoming more and more competitive, creative and innovative while never losing site on the consumers needs and the as well as the environments.

The green cell phones and concept phones of 2009 represent a truly unique convergence of technology and innovative ideas. In compiling this list we were looking for cutting-edge renewable power sources, use of recycled or easily-recyclable materials, zero toxic substances, and enhanced capabilities. We’ve also included the use of recycled and minimized packaging and thinner user manuals (for the actual phones) in our criteria.
Here are what’s available and what’s possible in 2009. Enjoy.
Samsung’s Blue Earth
Samsung’s innovative Blue Earth phone is the first solar powered full-touch phone. Engineered to resemble a a flat and well rounded shiny pebble, Blue Earth is made of PCM recycled plastic and is free from toxic materials like BFR and phthalate. It boasts of energy-efficient user interface and charger and has a built-in pedometer that can indicate the amount of CO2 emissions the user has reduced by walking.
Magic Stone
The Magic Stone is still on paper but it promises to be a most fascinating piece of technology ever invented. For one, users can specify their preferred shape of the device when they order the phones online. Powered by electromagnetic charge emitted from remote transmitters, Magic Stone will never need recharging. As backup, it is coated with nano-material capable of converting sunlight into energy. It boasts of a touch screen interface and built-in holographic projector.
LG Pop Cell Phone
Back in October, LG introduced the GD510 or POP, a cell phone that comes with an optional battery cover that is also a solar cell, allowing users to charge the battery with sunlight. You can have 2.25 minutes of talk time or 180 minutes of standby by charging your phone for 10 minutes under the sun. The Pop is crafted from brushed aluminum which gives it a high-end look, has no toxic materials like BFR and PVC, and comes in recycled packaging.
Mobile Script
The concept Mobile Script phone is definitely one of the best concept devices this year. Featuring dual touch screen displays, it boasts of a flexible and retractable OLED display that can become rigid when charged allowing the user maximum viewing space when needed. For power, it comes coated with photo sensitive coating using nano technology to harness solar energy.
Sony Ericsson Elm and Hazel
The Elm and Hazel Phones are the latest offering by Sony Ericsson in its GreenHeart portfolio. Compared to the other concept phones featured here, these have humbler eco-friendly credentials but I’m including them here because they’re real phones available for purchase and because they’re made from recycled plastic. The Elm and Hazel boasts of a highly efficient battery system, zero hazardous chemicals, and minimized packaging.
Zeri Concept Phone
My persona on Ikariam is Kwisatz Haderach (from Frank Herbert’s Dune sci-fi books), so the Zeri green concept phone which features a top end that looks like the mouth of a worm of Arrakis is something special for me. This concept phone runs on a unique and original power source. The worm-like mouth is in fact, a mesh of knitted metal wires that detect and transform changes in temperature into energy while it is in your pocket. It can also convert air vibrations into usable power through hair-thin generators on piezoelectric system.
Xperia X001 Concept Phone
Created by Jozef Kocur, the X001 is the latest Xperia concept cell phone. This smartphone approaches the question of green power in a, well, smart way. Created from a solid piece of aluminum, this sleek eco-friendly phone combines the power of a solar cell and a methanol battery. The methanol case is transparent and provides a unique appearance to the front of the X001, while the solar panel can be seen at the back side.
Sticky Phone
Created by designer Liu Hsiang-Ling, the Sticky Phone concept is based on the idea that many users habitually place their phones near a window for optimum signal reception. This eco-friendly phone of the future has an arched back and is molded on polysiloxane (silicone). It can be attached to your glass panes where it can absorb solar energy via a solar panel at the back of the phone.
Touchwood Phone
The Touchwood is still in prototype stage and is made with the surplus wood of trees culled during thinning operations to maintain healthy forests. It boasts of an authentic cypress wood body, and developed by ITT Docomo of Japan in collaboration with Sharp Corporation, Olympus Corporation, and More Trees, a reforestation project founded by musician Ryuichi Sakamoto and others.
Magnet Phone
Designed by Tryi Yeh, the Magnet Phone concept is solar-powered – enabling the user to recharge the cell phone anytime, anywhere with renewable energy from the sun. Sporting a light OLED panel, the nifty device comes with a large solar panel cell and can be customized to suit the user’s tastes. You can listen to your favorite music tracks, watch videos, and play games on the Magnet Phone without worrying much about charging this eco-friendly device.
