3G Cell Phones And Water Chargers!
It seems that lately, anything involved with 3G Cell Phones today is a place where innovation is king and creativity is always flourishing. Take for example this new product made by Taiwanese researchers in which a mobile phone is charged by nothing more than water and in as little as two hours. As inventive as this is it is not the first time we seen something like this. Between competitiveness in the cell phone and general technology markets as well as a widening green market, expect these types of ideas to continue and hopefully become the norm before too long.
The green movement with 3G Cell Phones and in general is exactly why this device came about. Taiwan wants to become a leader in the green technologies market and in order to do so these are exactly the kinds of products they will need. Not simply innovative green ideas but ones that can play a role in the popular technologies of today. The scientists at the Industrial Technology Research Institute say that their “electricity ball” releases hydrogen after charging water into it, and thus it is able to power a handset without wires. Because the small nation imports the majority of its energy and is being pressured to make cuts in energy and find new energy-efficient tools and constructs.
If that is what they need then that is what they will get. The researchers are clearly working hard right now and are definitely onto something if water can in fact begin charging our electronics. This would change the industry completely, our lives to an extent too, if this could happen. Unfortunately the author has no way of knowing how far along this project is, whether it is in a production stage for the Taiwanese to use or if it still in a research phases, years away from the public. What we can say though, is that it is great to see such efforts and that even if nothing comes out of this the cell phone industry is clearly looking towards greener pastures, pun intended, and it is only a matter of time before something like this comes about.
So we must commend Taiwan on trying to change its ways and hope that other countries, the United States of America obviously included, will not only be innovative but innovative with a purpose to keep our planet safe. For if we destroy our planet while attempting to make progress, whether or not we can see it, we will only be moving backwards.
